Hannibal and Jono's Place, Early Sunday Morning
Sparkle had been having a rough... life, really. He'd been having a rough life, starting with when he was little and just getting more and more complicated from there. This whole thing with the shark hurricane had just been one more complication in a long line of complications, and Sparkle had been kind of dealing with it, for a while there. He had! Except that he'd tried to check up on the state of the insurance for Demon Marcus that morning, and he'd been given a pretty stupid amount of runaround, and...
... Look, Sparkle didn't bottom out often, but when he did, he did so thoroughly and generally quite drunkenly.
He wouldn't remember later when he'd decided it was a good idea to go breaking into somebody's house today.
Hell, he wouldn't have been able to tell you whose house he'd broken into. Or whose vodka he'd busted into. Or whose sofa he'd passed out on. He sure as hell wasn't going to remember when one of the residents of the house walked into the living room, paused, squinted for a minute, and then went to grab a blanket to throw over him while waiting for his husband to come downstairs so that he could deal with this.
Sparkle was not Jonothon's problem unless he started getting sick on the floor. He was washing his hands of this one, thank you.
[OOC: For he who knows who he is!]

Then wrinkle his nose, come closer, and raise an eyebrow at the sofa as he saw over the back of it. "When did he arrive?"
no subject
//He's been on th'sofa for at least a few hours,// he replied. //Hell if I know when he found his way in. I found him that way myself.//

He stepped closer, scrutinized Sparkle's face, then the rest of him, and shook his head. It was clear this wasn't simply a passing stupidity; Sparkle had not been doing well.
"Right, then." He righted the vodka bottle, carefully checked Sparkle's pulse and breath, then marched out of the room to get his medical kit.

//Do I want to know what you're up to now?//
He probably didn't want to know.

He came back into the room, checked Sparkle's vitals again, then cleaned the inside of his arm with an antiseptic wipe. "This is likely to take some time. Fortunately, we have time between classes."

Look, Hannibal, your husband was going to sit there judging you, looking a little bit like he was about to jump out of his seat to tackle you until you could justify that one.
//What's that time for, exactly?//

They kiiinda skeeved him out a bit. Jono had a bit of a history with that sort of thing.

He paused, and then clarified, //So long as he's going to wake up with all his original parts intact when that hour's up.//
He trusted you only so far, Lecter.

"Make it two or three, if you can." Hannibal re-capped the syringe and set it aside. "I'll need to get to a hotel and get settled in. And of course he will wake up with all his parts. I intend on helping him, not eating him."
no subject
//Two or three, then,// he replied, //though he's so trolleyed right now, it probably won't take much anyway...//
He gave Sparkle a quick, fairly non-intrusive suggestion to just keep sleeping until he was sober. And then he tilted his head at Hannibal again.
//So, why Toronto?//

Jono wasn't sure when he'd started rolling all ones on his sanity checks, but here he was. Squinting a little at Hannibal. Looking at the young man who had... broken into his home and drank all of his husband's expensive vodka. He shook his head and sat back down, then.
//And you're bringing him back in one piece.//
no subject
"If I wanted him broken, I could simply leave him as he is."

While Hannibal and Sparkle were away, Jono was going to have to sit and take a good, hard look at whatever the hell had become of his morals. They seemed to be on vacation. Again. Which typically meant he was going to have to go back into his head and beat some piece of it into submission soon.
//And you're doing this to help him?//
Just double-checking, now.

He was not volunteering to come with. He wanted nothing to do with this.

He found what he was looking for, then stood and leaned down to kiss Jono's face. "I will have my phone, should you need me."
no subject
Sorry, Hannibal. He'd sit back and let you do this intervention of yours, but he wasn't explaining to Atton or Leto that you'd dragged Sparkle off to that place it was probably really stupid for him to be.

//Good enough,// he settled on. //You hurt a hair on his head and you had best not come home, but you knew that.//
And really, Jono believed Hannibal when he said he was looking out for Sparkle's best interests. He didn't necessarily agree with his methods, but...

He smirked. "Actually, I make no promises for his hair. It's possible I may take him for a cut."
no subject
//That one'll be between the two of you, then. Go, have fun, do your intervention thing. If you need me for anything not related to kidnapping, I'll be here.//
Or at the Boards. Or supervising the progress of the construction crew at Groovy Tunes.

He had said it already and he was going to stand by it now; he really didn't want to know.

He got his phone and called to arrange the portal, then proceeded to make them hotel reservations and pack what he would need.
