Sparkle was suddenly very glad he'd set down the olives.
Because his hands were falling to his sides and he was pretty certain his knees had turned to pudding.
"... I...."
He swallowed.
"Okay."
And he'd thought he'd sounded small before.
He didn't want to throw up. He wanted to just fade away.
