The Causeway, Sunday Evening
Sparkle bounced on his toes as he waited to meet Hernando on the Causeway for their date. He'd... kind of panicked. Being given a couple of days to come up with something good given the date that Hernando had arranged had left him flailing, and now he was second-guessing basically everything, ever. But it was too late to back out now, even if his choice for the evening was less about art and more about ambiance.
He desperately hoped that the place wouldn't be swamped with kids.
He also hadn't even gotten as far as making dinner reservations.
Tonight was going to be interesting, okay?
[OOC: For that guy!]

Sparkle hummed and laughed a little.
"Well, good," he replied. "When I decide I'm in need of tweed, I'll have to think a little more on my options."

"Tweed can be another date," Sparkle agreed with a laugh, letting Hernando tug him along. "Tonight is for little fishes."
And long kisses. Both? Both was good.

"Yeah, a betta," Sparkle agreed. "His name is Milady, and he's all Halloween colours."
He... was totally pulling out his phone to show off pictures.
Of his fish, yes.

"That is a very pretty fish," he noted. A glance at the tank in front of him, "Prettier than these poor brown fellows."
no subject
"Aw, the little brown guys have their charm too," Sparkle decided. "With their stupid little fishy faces."
He was leaning his head a little, to make his neck more accessible. No reason.
no subject
"Milady is just prettier. It is not his fault. It is simply fact. Though perhaps that is unfair to the little brown fishes. They might think they are very fine indeed."
no subject
"To other little brown fishes, I bet they're all totally stunning," Sparkle announced. "Also, I want one."
'I want one' was going to be said a lot today.

"Ten," Sparkle countered. "Twenty. All the fishies!"
He was having too much fun, here.
no subject
Fishes with wishes. Also shut up.
no subject
Wishyfishy!
".... I'm going to just set up a proper aquarium in the shop or something, at this rate."

"They're herbivores," Sparkle said brightly. And ever-so-helpfully. "Your fish would be fine, unless, like, they fell in or something."
Somebody had gone researching quokkas once he'd seen the cute little guys in Hernando's shop.
And Dave.

"Well..." Sparkle considered that one for a few moments more, squeezing Hernando's hand back. "What if you just put it up higher than they can get?"
....
"Wait, no, they can climb."
Dammit, Dave.
no subject
Dave was a jerk.
Hernando loved the fuzzy little bastard anyway.
no subject
"Maybe we put the aquarium into your apartment instead?" Sparkle smiled a little, ducking his head. "Or you can help me set one up at the clothing shop, we can share it."
Joint custody of the fishies.

Really, they were a pretty good draw all on their own.
Now, if Hernando were to get a kitten...
"What kind of fish would you want?"
no subject
Hernando was not getting a kitten. He had quokka.
no subject
Little ambitious, that Sparkle.
no subject
Little ambitious. Very adorable.
