The Causeway, Sunday Evening

Sparkle bounced on his toes as he waited to meet Hernando on the Causeway for their date. He'd... kind of panicked. Being given a couple of days to come up with something good given the date that Hernando had arranged had left him flailing, and now he was second-guessing basically everything, ever. But it was too late to back out now, even if his choice for the evening was less about art and more about ambiance.

He desperately hoped that the place wouldn't be swamped with kids.

He also hadn't even gotten as far as making dinner reservations.

Tonight was going to be interesting, okay?

"So I've heard," Sparkle replied with a laugh. "I really don't have any real desire to swim with them, cross my heart."

[hernando_fuentes]

"Certainly not in here," Hernando responded with amusement, "Though there is something to be said for the idea of taking you swimming somewhere the water is warm. Unlike the ocean around the island."

Beach dreams.

[myownface]

"Yeah," Sparkle said, laughing a little. "Something a little more exciting than Lake Ontario, maybe."

There was a little bit of a difference, too, between swimming at a beach in Mexico and puddling around in a really big, heavily polluted lake.

[hernando_fuentes]

"Yes, between the Man O Wars and the sharks, our waters can be very exciting," he teased, "It is quite beautiful however."

[myownface]

"I believe it," Sparkle replied, smiling. "I'm kind of sorry I wasn't teaching this semester. The school went to Greece; people got to hang out on beaches all week."

Slightly different beaches, again, from Mexico's.

[hernando_fuentes]

"Perhaps next semester," Hernando suggested, "Then you could go on the trip."

Very different beaches. Especially the part that traveled back in time.

"Hey, maybe," Sparkle agreed. "We'll see if the trip goes somewhere with a nice beach."

Why else would anybody teach, right?

[hernando_fuentes]

Hernando smiled at him, "I just want to see you in tweed. You would make it look good."

Why else would anybody teach, indeed.

[myownface]

"Oooh, no way," Sparkle laughed. "If Deadpool can teach in his skintight red onesie, I can totally manage it in a t-shirt and jeans."

... But if Hernando asked nicely, Sparkle would try on some tweed.

[hernando_fuentes]

"Perhaps I just want to see you out of tweed," Hernando said suggestively.

Skintight red onesie. Perhaps Hernando should look into teaching a little more.

[myownface]

"Well," Sparkle laughed, "if you want that, maybe I'll have to go shopping. Teacher chic..."

[hernando_fuentes]

"You carry no such clothing in your store?" Hernando teased, "Sparkle. You will make me go to the mainland for clothing?"

[myownface]

"Hey," Sparkle protested, laughing, "I never said I'd have to go far to shop!"

He could shop in his own shop!

[hernando_fuentes]

"Good," Hernando stated, "I find I would much rather shop in your store be I given any option to."

At least when Sparkle was working. He hadn't met the other employees.

There was really only one other, though Alluka would no doubt do her best to make sure Hernando left looking great.

"My favourite customer," Sparkle laughed. "So, are you going to help me pick out my tweed, then?"

[hernando_fuentes]

"Then it would hardly be a surprise," Hernando laughed back at him, "but certainly if you feel you need the opinion," or help putting the clothing on..taking it off.. "I am happy to be there."

Sparkle hummed and laughed a little.

"Well, good," he replied. "When I decide I'm in need of tweed, I'll have to think a little more on my options."

[hernando_fuentes]

"For now, you are in need of little fishes," Hernando said, tugging him gently over to one of the tanks. "The tweed can wait as can my imagination."

[myownface]

"Tweed can be another date," Sparkle agreed with a laugh, letting Hernando tug him along. "Tonight is for little fishes."

And long kisses. Both? Both was good.

Both was good. "You have a fish, no? I thought Kaidan mentioned," Hernando asked.

[myownface]

"Yeah, a betta," Sparkle agreed. "His name is Milady, and he's all Halloween colours."

He... was totally pulling out his phone to show off pictures.

Of his fish, yes.

[hernando_fuentes]

Hernado was craning in to look. Also absently to press a short kiss to the side of Sparkle's neck since it was right there.

"That is a very pretty fish," he noted. A glance at the tank in front of him, "Prettier than these poor brown fellows."

[myownface]

"Aw, the little brown guys have their charm too," Sparkle decided. "With their stupid little fishy faces."

He was leaning his head a little, to make his neck more accessible. No reason.

[hernando_fuentes]

"They are certainly very fishy," Hernando agreed. He left one more kiss on that neck before pulling away. If he didn't do it now he'd be there for hours.

"Milady is just prettier. It is not his fault. It is simply fact. Though perhaps that is unfair to the little brown fishes. They might think they are very fine indeed."

[myownface]

"To other little brown fishes, I bet they're all totally stunning," Sparkle announced. "Also, I want one."

'I want one' was going to be said a lot today.
